📜 WARPATH Rules & Fair Play

Compete hard. Play to win. Respect the people on the other side of the map.

WARPATH is competitive by design. Frustration, rivalry and a bit of colourful language can happen. These rules exist to keep games competitive and enjoyable without turning moderation into a punishment for every harmless outburst.

1. Accounts & identity

One player, one account

Do not create or use additional accounts to gain an advantage, manipulate games, evade restrictions, harass another player, or mislead staff. If you genuinely need another account or have an account problem, contact staff.

Usernames

Usernames must not contain racist, hateful, threatening, sexually abusive, deliberately offensive or impersonating content. Staff may rename an account that gets through the registration filter.

Do not evade moderation. Creating another account, disguising a prohibited username, or changing connection details to get around a restriction can result in further action.

2. Play to win

Play each game with a genuine intention to achieve the objective of that game mode. Do not deliberately throw a game, feed territories or armies to another player, suicide solely to decide who else wins, or coordinate outside the rules to manipulate the result.

Temporary tactical cooperation that naturally occurs in a free-for-all strategy game is not automatically cheating. Secret pre-arranged cooperation, account sharing, coordinated multi-account play, or agreements that override the game's competitive objective are not allowed.

3. Cheating, bugs & exploits

Do not use scripts, automation, unauthorized tools, account sharing, deliberate exploits or other methods that provide an unfair advantage. If you discover a bug, report it rather than repeatedly exploiting it.

Testing a suspected bug in good faith is different from knowingly using it to affect competitive games. When in doubt, tell staff what happened.

4. Chat & player conduct

Swearing by itself is not automatically a WARPATH offence. Context matters.

For example:
“Fuck these dice 😂” or “WTF was that roll?” is generally just frustration.

Repeated abuse directed at another player, targeted insults, harassment, threats, racist or bigoted abuse, or deliberately making another player miserable is different and may be moderated.

Rivalry is fine. Abuse isn't. Staff should consider the words, context, pattern of behaviour and seriousness rather than treating every swear word as identical.

5. Turns & game disruption

Players are expected to make a reasonable effort to take their turns and finish games they join. Do not deliberately stall, repeatedly miss turns to manipulate game state, abuse abandonment mechanics, or otherwise obstruct a game because the position is going badly.

Real life happens. An occasional missed turn is not automatically misconduct; deliberate or repeated disruptive behaviour is what matters.

6. Reports

Use the Report feature when staff genuinely need to review player conduct. Reports capture the reported message and nearby chat context so staff can assess what happened.

Do not spam reports or knowingly submit false reports to harass another player. Reporting someone does not guarantee punishment; staff review the available context and decide what action, if any, is appropriate.

7. Moderation

Depending on the conduct and its seriousness, staff may take actions including an official warning, Game Chat restriction, temporary account restriction, permanent restriction, username change, or other reasonable protective action.

Serious conduct does not have to progress through every step. A severe threat, hateful attack, cheating scheme or deliberate restriction evasion may justify stronger action immediately.

Moderation actions are recorded. Official notices are delivered through the WARPATH Inbox. If you have a question about an action on your account, contact staff rather than continuing the dispute in game chat.

8. The simple version

Play to win. Don't cheat. Don't use extra accounts. Don't abuse people. Don't deliberately wreck games. If something goes wrong, report it and let staff deal with it.
